Sri Lankan wrestler H.P. Nipuni Wasana Dharmadasa has secured a historic Gold Medal at the 6th Asian Beach Games held in Sanya, China.
Competing in the 50kg weight class, Nipuni displayed an outstanding performance, making her way to the finals by defeating formidable opponents from Kazakhstan, Cambodia, China, and Japan. In a thrilling final match for the Gold, she conquered her Vietnamese opponent with a brilliant score of 3-1.
